ABA Therapy In Maryland, Wherever Your Child Learns Best

No two families run on the same rhythm, and your child's therapy shouldn't force you into one. Blossom ABA delivers individualized, evidence-based care across Maryland in the settings where your child actually learns best, whether that's the kitchen table at home, a daycare classroom, or a quiet Saturday afternoon. Here's how we meet your family where you are.

In-Home ABA in Maryland

In-Home ABA in Maryland

Children learn fastest in the place they feel safest. By working inside your own home, our therapists build communication, daily routines, and self-regulation skills using the toys, spaces, and people your child already knows. There's no unfamiliar waiting room and no long drive, just focused one-on-one sessions that fit naturally into your family's day.

Parent Training in Maryland

Parent Training in Maryland

You're with your child far more than any therapist ever will be, and that makes you their most important teacher. Our parent training equips Maryland caregivers to carry strategies forward between sessions, respond calmly when behaviors escalate, and recognize the small wins worth celebrating. The goal is simple: confidence that lasts well beyond our visits.

ABA Therapy Process

Assessment

A BCBA sits down with you and your child. Not a rushed appointment—real time to understand what's happening and what you're hoping for. Then they build a plan that makes sense for your family.

Therapy Sessions

Your child works with the same therapist every time. They'll build a relationship. Your kid will start to trust them. And slowly, you'll see your child learning to ask for what they need instead of screaming for it, or playing next to another kid instead of alone in the corner.

Parent Training

We can't do this without you. So we teach you what's working. How to handle the morning routine that takes an hour. How to get through the grocery store. How to know when your child is about to lose it and what to do before they do.

Progress Monitoring

If something's not working, we change it. We're watching the data, but we're also listening to you. You know your kid better than anyone.

Skills We Help Build

What ABA Therapy in Maryland Addresses

Every child's plan looks different, but most families come to us wanting help in a few familiar places. Here's where we tend to focus.

We work on:

Change 01

Communication

Whether your child is nonspeaking, uses a few words, or talks constantly but struggles to be understood, we help them find reliable ways to ask for what they need.

Change 02

Social skills

Taking turns, joining a game, reading another kid's cues. We practice the small moments that make being around other children feel less overwhelming.

Change 03

Challenging behaviors

When behavior is the only way your child knows how to get a need across, we look for the why behind it and teach clearer, safer ways to get that same need met.

Change 04

Daily routines

Getting dressed, brushing teeth, sitting for a meal, settling into bedtime. We build the everyday steps that keep your mornings and evenings from turning into a battle.

Change 05

Following directions

From simple one-step asks to longer sequences, we help your child understand and follow through without it becoming a standoff.

Change 06

Big feelings

Frustration, overwhelm, the moments that tip into a meltdown. We help your child notice what they're feeling and find calmer ways to handle it, and we show you what to do in the moment too.

Your Maryland
Partners

BCBAs (Board Certified Behavior Analysts)

These are the people with the master's degrees and the years of training. They write your child's plan. They make sure it's working. They adjust when it's not.

RBTs (Registered Behavior Technicians)

This is the person who shows up every week and works with your child. The same person, not a rotating cast of strangers. They'll learn what makes your kid laugh, what sets them off, what motivates them. That consistency matters.

Parent Partnership

You're doing the hardest job. We're just here to help you do it a little better. You know your child. We know ABA. Together, we can make this work.

Getting Started with ABA Therapy

  2. 02

    Insurance Verification

We'll call your insurance company, figure out what's covered, and handle the authorization. You'll know what to expect before we start.

  3. 03

    BCBA Assessment

A BCBA spends time with your child and creates a plan. Not a generic checklist — a plan for your kid.

  4. 04

    Therapy Begins

Usually within a couple weeks of your first call. Your child meets their therapist and gets started.

ABA Therapy FAQs

Questions Parents Ask

Does insurance cover ABA therapy in Maryland?

Yes. Maryland law requires it. We'll verify your specific coverage before you commit to anything. No surprises.

How many hours per week?

Usually between 10-40 hours, depending on what your child needs. Your BCBA will recommend a number. If that feels like too much, tell them. This has to work for your whole family.

How long does ABA therapy last?

Every kid is different. Some make progress in a few months. Some need a year or more. We'll keep adjusting as your child grows.

What ages do you serve?

18 months to 21 years.

Will my child have the same therapist?

Yes. That's the whole point. Consistency helps kids feel safe and learn better.

Is parent training included?

Yes. It's not optional—it's built into the plan. Because progress shouldn't only happen during therapy hours.
